Fund Raising

TEST Ghana will ensure continuous flow of committed funds to provide ongoing support to scholars. Core funding support will be generated through commitments from the Lloyd family as well as generous donations from supporters. TEST deems continuous donations from supporters, in particular, very critical for maintaining financial resource flow which ultimately strengthens the effective functioning of the programme. As donations increases so also shall the number of students supported each year.

TEST Ghana therefore encourages charitable organisations, businesses and corporates, Ghanaian celebrities including those in sports and media, philanthropists and individuals who share our core values to donate generously towards our cause. Any donations to the Trust will be recognised and the respective donor will be given a naming opportunity linked to directly student(s) being funded by the respective donor.

Every donation received will almost entirely be dispensed towards student’s scholarships. The moneys will also be accounted for in a very transparent way. TEST will produce an annual financial report of incomes and detail expenditure for every academic year. This will be published on TEST’s website as well as copies distributed to donors, supporters, trustees, students and all our collaborators and interested parties.

Initial core funding support has been guaranteed for an initial period of five years by TEST for AFRICA, a UK registered charity, which has secured pledges from the Lloyd and Travers families, and negotiations are underway with various corporate donors.
